7 Reasons to limit the amount of processed foods you eat

1) Processed foods are highly addictive.

Your body processes whole foods much differently than it does refined, processed, and heavily-modified “junk” foods. Processed foods tend to overstimulate the production of dopamine, also known as the “pleasure” neurotransmitter, which makes you crave them constantly. Your body ends up not being able to resist the temptation to continue eating junk foods in excess, which can lead to obesity and other health problems.

Priorities! You health, energy and well being is highly important. If you are not healthy then it will have a negative consequence on every area of your life. Meat, and packaged foods is expensive because you are paying for someone to make it for you. Replace it with fresh fruit and vegetables, nuts, seeds and grains and you will be surprised how much you can save!

4) Processed foods can cause chronic inflammation.

Too much ARACHIDONIC acid found in meat, dairy products, and eggs can cause inflammation.
NITRATES: Found in processed meats are added as a preservative, colouring and flavouring. The nitrates found in processed meats are frequently converted into NITROSAMINES, which are clearly associated with an increased risk of certain cancers.
TRANS FATS: Trans fatty foods tantalize your taste buds, then travel through your digestive system to your arteries, where they turn to sludge! Small amounts of trans-fats occur naturally in beef, lamb, and full-fat dairy products. But most come from processing liquid vegetable oil to become a solid fat.
The FDA once estimated that approximately 95 percent of prepared cookies,100 percent of crackers, and 80 percent of frozen breakfast products contained trans-fat. Now that trans-fat must be listed on food labels, many companies have removed them from their products.

5) Your body cannot efficiently digest processed foods.
Most of processed foods will be identified as WASTE by your body and flushed out through your colon, you will not get much or any health benefits from them. They will also harm beneficial ”friendly” bacteria which can expose your system to infection.

6) Processed foods are probably made from GMO seeds
There is an overwhelming amount of research and studies to confirm that GMO foods can cause a plethora of health problems.

7) Processed foods are loaded with pesticides.
To make GMO seeds farmers have to add dangerous amounts of herbicides and pesticides.
